Fort Klock Historic Restoraton Fort Klock is a Central Mohawk Valley fortified stone farmhouse that was built in 1750 by Jacob Klock for Johannis Klock. In 1973 it was designated a National Historical Landmark. Owned by the Fort Klock Restoration, the largely original house has been restored. This 30 acre complex of the original colonial farm structure, also contains a working blacksmith shop, a new-world dutch barn and an early 19th century schoolhouse. The site is open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. |
